I am a visual artist seeking to evoke a new perspective on the world through my art. In transforming material objects from the physical world, based off of conscious and unconscious thought, I am pursuing my own personal passions, the goal being an individual and ultimate understanding of my relationship to the natural world, an understanding which we all seek. As an artist having grown up in the beautiful Pioneer Valley in Massachusetts, my works have been deeply influenced by the natural landscapes provided in abundance within this region. It is important that we learn to appreciate and have a relationship with our environment and I hope to help do this with my landscape works. I am also interested in surrealism and the idea that art can become an access way to more subconscious ideas, opinions and emotions, which we can so easily forget to acknowledge in the fast-paced world we live in.
